   Hello to you. I would say the best way to get traffic to your website is is to first, focus on your website’s subject or topic, that peaks the interest of your website visitors and then you can begin to create traffic to your site that you are wanting to acquire by implanting a mental thought process that keeps the visitor wanting to know more.

   To merely build a site and then hope you can generate enough traffic to support it is doomed to fail if you don’t look at your site objectively from a visitor’s perspective.

   Getting traffic to your website has all to do with how well you’ve set your meta tags and keywords if you hope to have high ranking in the search engines. This is paramount in your website structure.
   Then after that, I suggest you create blogs, a newsletter and possibly adding a forum along with your site in order to build a massive email list. But above all once this is done your need to advertise with all the major search engines like google & yahoo.Hope this helps.

   What I did when I started my first website was use a mass marketing service. The one I used was http://www.submissionmadesimple.com. It is a cheap way to get lots of traffic and it won’t use up your bandwidth and hurt your bounce rate because what happens is they use a cache of your website and it doesn’t hit your website as a unique visitor until they click around which shows they are interested. This is the best way I’ve found to get my site in front of thousands of people really fast. Didn’t hurt that I got a free ebook on Search Engine Optimization with it. Just my recommendation, there are lots of different opinions on this topic.
